Dillard Track Team (Tuesday, 3/31/09)
We had a successful start to the track season yesterday.
Boys: Defeated Ligon and lost to EGarner
Girls: Defeated Ligon and lost to EGarner

Dillard Softball Team (Tuesday, 3/31/09)
The lady dragons improved their record to 4-1 yesterday by beating Carnage 16-0. All 9 starters had at least one hit and we ended up with 18 hits total in the game. Hannah Reynolds had 4 hits and Lauren Panella had 3 hits including a double. Hannah Reynolds pitched well and struck out 9. The defense was solid as well.
Our next game will be Thursday at Carroll.
Dillard Softball Team (Tuesday, 3/23/09)
The girls improved their record to 3-0 yesterday with a 29-0 win over Martin. We came out of the gates fast and scored 19 runs in the 1st inning. Alyssa Bushhouse led the offense with 4 hits. We had 11 hits total in the 4 innings we played. Hannah Reynolds and Lauren Panella pitched well.
We will have a really tough game today against East Garner here at home. Both of us are 3-0 so something will have to give.
Dillard Softball Team (Tuesday, 3/17/09)
The softball team improved to 2-0 with an impressive win over Daniels yesterday 10-4. The girls were down 3-1 in the the 4th and then had a big 5 run inning to take a 6-3 lead. Then we added 4 more runs in the 5th to secure the victory. Hannah Reynolds pitched well and struck out 9 batters for Daniels. Alyssa Bushhouse, Hannah Reynolds, and Hayley Murphy led the offense each having a big hit when we needed it.
Our next game is Monday, March 23rd at home. We had a pretty good crowd yesterday and I would like to see an even bigger one on Monday! When you see the girls please congratulate them. Daniels beat us badly both times last year so this was a big win for our team.
Dillard Softball Team (Tuesday, 3/3/09)
The Lady Dragons started off the season with a 24-0 win over Ligon. Hannah Reynolds pitched a no hitter and struck out 12 along the way. Lauren Panella pitched the last inning and struck out 3. Sarena Triesh led the offense going 4 for 4, including a double, and she scored 5 runs in the lead off position. Alyssa Bushhouse added 2 hits and Hannah Reynolds and Lauren Panella both had an extra base hit to help the offense. The defense also played well.
Our next game will be on Monday here at home if the weather holds up. We play East Garner who will be a tough test for us.
We also play at home on Thursday against Daniels next week.
Please congratulate the girls if you see them on their first win of the season.
Dillard Basketball Team (Monday, 2/09/09)
Both boys and girls teams picked up close victories over Carnage on Monday, Feb. 9th. The boys are looking to move to 7-7 on the season and finish up with a 4 game winning streak. After starting the season 1-5, the boys team is 5-2 in its last 7 games.
The season finale is Wednesday, Feb. 11th, at home vs. Carroll.
Dillard Boys Basketball Team (Thursday, 1/22/09)
Dillard Boys Basketball Team Drops Close One to East Garner 36-25. After going into halftime tied 13-13, East Garner came out hot - hitting 4 three points in the second half on their way to an 11 point win.

DDMS Basketball Team (Monday, 12/8/2008)
The girls and boys basketball teams lost their opening games vs. Ligon yesterday but are looking to rebound this Thursday at home vs. E. Garner. Game time is 3:45 for girls and 5:15 for boys. Please come out to a game an support out teams!
DDMS Football Team (Tuesday, 10/29/2008)
The football team lost to Carroll yesterday in overtime, 22 to 20. They ended with a 5 and 2 record which put them in a tie for 2nd place. This is the best record in 5 years for our football program. Please congratulate them on a great season.
DDMS Girl's Soccer Team (Thursday, 10/23/2008)
The girl's had a great win yesterday against Carnage winning 4-1. Goals were scored by Maddie Erikkson(1), Colleen Kennedy(1), Schae Kelly(2) We have our last home game next Thursday.

The Girl's Soccer Team won their game against N.Garner 4-1. Yeah!!! The goals were scored by Kaye Herbert(2), Schae Kelly(1) and Lara Picanco (1) Our next match is an Away game against Carnage.
DDMS Football Team (Tuesday, 10/14/2008)
The football team defeated North Garner yesterday by the score of 50 to 6. So far we are 4 and 1 for the season. The final home game will be played next Wednesday vs. Carnage. The team is currently in second place.
DDMS Girl's Soccer Team (Thursday, 10/02/2008)
It was a tough day at Daniels yesterday; the Girl's Soccer Team also came up short and lost 5-1 against undefeated Daniels. The girl's did play well but lost to the better team. Schae Kelly scored the goal for Dillard. We play Martin Middle next week; another tough match!!
DDMS LADY DRAGONS WIN FIRST GAME! (Thursday 10/2/2008)
Well, we came up short today and lost our first of the season. Daniels came away with the win, 3-0. Playing in a fierce and pretty hostile environment, our girls played tough, but just couldn't get unfrazzled to pull it out. Daniels' skill level was very deserving of the win.
DDMS Girl's Soccer Team (September 23rd, 2008)
The soccer girls played well and came out on top. We beat East Garner Middle 4-1! Schae Kelly had 2 goals, Kaye Herbert and Emily Akins each had one goal.

STRIKE UP THE BAND! LADY DRAGONS WIN
We won our match against East Garner Middle and showed our strength in teamwork again. Our serves were a bit iffy, but Emily Schmid and Amber Courtney came through with quite a few points with theirs.
The final score was 3-0 !
Next week probably will be our toughest competition against Daniels Middle. We'll need to "move it, move it, move it" to keep them in check!
DDMS LADY DRAGONS WIN FIRST GAME! (September 17th, 2008)
The DDMS Lady Dragons volleyball team won their first game of the 2008 season, played here at Dillard against Ligon Middle. The girls exhibited excellent team work and worked the ball very well. Serves were powerful and really showed our strength to earn those points. Final score: 3-1.

Thanks to all those who supported our Girls' Soccer Team during their first game. Although our spirits were high and the weather was perfect, the girls fell short and lost to Ligon 3-1. We will pack up our cleats and head to East Garner for an away game next Tuesday, September 23.
